The perfect light fixture can be just what a room needs in order to make a statement! Statement lighting can make a huge impact in a dining room, entryway, stairwell, or even over a bathtub. We’ve pulled together some of our favorite statement light fixtures from past projects to illustrate the power of good lighting. We hope this inspires you to be bold, and consider using an out-of-the-box light fixture in your home!
The Concord Chandelier
This chandelier, from our Zen Modern Manor project, was the perfect finishing touch for this dining room! The design of this fixture was inspired by the famous Concord airliner. We felt that the clean lines and simple, contemporary design lended itself to the contemporary zen look we were going for. We also loved the play of the gold interior finish against the black outer finish, and how the colors and lines talked to the art pieces in the room. One thing’s for sure, it definitely makes a statement!
Bling Chandelier / Semi-Flushmount
We think you’ll agree that this chandelier is absolutely stunning – and made the perfect addition to our Glamorous Glass Ensuite project! It’s appropriately named the Bling Chandelier, because each little glass droplet adds a piece of bling around the simple metal body, especially when light shines through it. The bathroom design is already beautiful with its serene blue tiles and clean lines, but this chandelier instantly adds a level of glamour to the space. That’s the power of a good light fixture!
The Mobile Chandelier
This dining chandelier from our Breezy Bachelor Pad shines bright, even against that show-stopping piece of art! This fixture is quintessentially midcentury modern, but we’ve used it in spaces that are many different styles, and it always looks great! Even though its design is simple, it’s still dynamic. That, along with its versatility and timelessness, are what makes this fixture so special!
The Vortic Flow Drum Pendant
The Vortic Flow Drum Pendant was the perfect light fixture for our Sparkling Statement-Tiled Spa. The metal fixture is so dynamic, with its mixed bronze and gold finishes that wrap around each other in layers. It’s an artisanal light that lends itself to the Napa spa aesthetic of the space. Considering how gorgeous those sparkling tiles are, it’s amazing that the light fixture is able to draw our attention… but it sure does!
Planar LED Linear Suspension
This light fixture from our Contemporary Lakeside Lounge is inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater house. The house is a planar structure that seemingly floats over a creek in Pennsylvania. Once you see this masterpiece of architecture, you can’t look at this light fixture and not notice the similarities! Part of what makes this fixture a showstopper is the way the light plays off the different metal planes, as shown in the second picture. One thing is for sure, its modern design is the perfect touch in this lake-house.
