Yep, we decided to participate in the Sacred Heart Home Tour again this year! If you’ve never heard of it, it’s a fundraiser for a school here in Sacramento were a few local designers decorate homes in the iconic Fab 40s neighborhood for Christmas. The homes are always spectacular, and made even more so by the dazzling decorations. This year, we got to decorate a home that was on the tour back in 1992! It also has an illustrious background as a home to various entertainers and prominent businessmen.

Now-a-days, it’s a cozy, family home and features exposed brick walls, painted paneling and large statement windows that show off the backyard. Entering the home, we felt as if we were in a remote cabin in the woods on a snowy winter day. Basically… we felt like Snow White in the woods with all of her forest animals swirling around to keep company. This feeling is what inspired our design for the home!

As you look through the images of the home, imagine hearing birds chirping and smelling gingerbread baking while you fix yourself a cup of hot cocoa.
