Stylish Suite Retreat

Summary:  This contemporary bathroom design project began with a primary suite that needed a fresh, tranquil update. The goal was to create a space that felt elegant, functional, and calm from the bedroom to the bathrooms.  The bedroom received a peaceful makeover. However, the bathrooms became the true showpieces of the project. Each space was designed to reflect the client’s love of contemporary style and refined details.

In the primary bathroom, metallic penny round tile became the focal point. The tile extends from the countertop to the ceiling, which adds height, shine, and visual drama. As a result, the vanity wall now feels bold, polished, and sophisticated.  Charcoal-stained cabinets bring depth and contrast to the room. In addition, sleek angular faucets add a clean, modern edge. Together, these details create a bathroom that feels both glamorous and serene.

Function was also a major part of the design. Behind the vanity mirrors, we added sliding-up medicine cabinets for hidden storage. These cabinets include their own lighting and power source, so the space stays practical without feeling cluttered.  Because the shower did not have a window, we created a thoughtful lighting solution. A transom window now pulls natural light from a Solar Tube in the nearby water closet. As a result, the shower feels brighter and more inviting.  We also included features that support aging in place. Sleek grab bars add safety without taking away from the design. In addition, a teak pull-down bench brings comfort, warmth, and a spa-like feeling to the shower.

The guest bathroom was also designed with care. Every finish was selected to coordinate with the overall suite. This helped the entire project feel cohesive, refined, and intentional.  In the end, Stylish Suite Retreat became a calm and luxurious escape. It now blends contemporary elegance, smart function, and spa-like comfort in a way that supports everyday luxury.
